Lifesaving Instructors, Swim Instructors and Lifesaving CPR Instructors Mandatory Update in Edmonton
The Lifesaving First Aid and Lifesaving CPR programs have been updated as part of the Lifesaving Society’s regular review process, and as a Lifesaving Instructor, Swim Instructor and Lifesaving CPR Instructor, you will be required to attend a mandatory update offered at your local aquatic facility.
- January 1, 2012 – Instructors that have not attended an update will not be able to deliver affected programs until they attend a Mandatory Update.
- March 31, 2012 - Instructors that have not attended a Mandatory Update will not be able to recertify their Lifesaving Instructor, Swim Instructor or Lifesaving CPR Instructor awards without attending an update.

Lifesaving First Aid Instructor Course
The Lifesaving First Aid Instructor/ Examiner clinic prepares instructors to teach and evaluate first aid skills. Lifesaving First Aid Instructors/ Examiners deliver the Society’s Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Administration courses. Candidates are required to complete an apprenticeship after the clinic. Includes Lifesaving CPR Instructor/ Examiner certification.
